Bharinee was born and lived in Thailand, working at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bangkok until 2008 when she was transferred to the United States to work at their Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.
In 2010 Bharinee moved to Chicago and is licensed to practice law before the United States Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois, as well as the state courts of New York. She assists clients at the firm and is dedicated to serving the Thai community in the Chicagoland area. Bharinee assists people with family based visas, like those required in cases of marriage (either spouse K-3 or fiancee K-1 visas), or divorce before removal of the conditional status of a green card. She also has counseled or translated for Thai clients for our office in other matters. She also can assist businesses and investors O-1 visas for bringing skilled and extraordinary foreign employees to work in the USA.
As a lawyer in Thailand Bharinee assisted foreign companies and individuals navigate Thailand's Foreign Business Act ("FBA") of Thai year 2542, our year 1999. Unlike in many countries, foreigners cannot own a majority interest in businesses or land in Thailand. Instead, a Thai holding company with a local Thai nominee must be formed to hold such interests, with the foreign investor protected through a series of contracts. Bharinee remains updated on changes for foreigners hoping to rent land, buy condos, or business interests in Thailand. Her family maintains an active property development business near Pattaya, Thailand building single family homes for mostly foreign residents.
